DIOCESAN OF GULBARGA

The Inauguration of the convention began at 09:30 am with a prayer song by Holy Cross school students. The MC Khatija & Siddanna welcomed Miss. Varshini (President), Bhavana(Vice President), Abhishek(Secretary), Yohan (Regional Representative), Miss. Vijaya laxmi (Female animator), Immanuel (Male Animator), Fr. Clevan (Diocesan Chaplain), Mr. Ebin Navis (National Full-timer), Fr. Vincent Pereira, Fr. Saji SDB, Fr. Jerald Sagar. All the students, Guest & resources person lighted the lamp and inaugurated the diocesan convention. Fr. Clevan thanked all the Dignitaries for accepting the invitation and giving their valuable time.
At 10:00, Fr. Vincent gave a short message for 15 min, in which he compared the hard word of the cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and what all the struggles he faced in his life. He asked every student to dream and work hard like him and also he added lots of guidelines how to become a great person.
At 10:15, Fr. Saji gave a message of the day. He brought a Team who is experts in acting Puppet Show from Child Line, Karnataka. The team impressed each and every students by their innovative concept and the comedy way to teach the social problem of a child in the current era. Then after 45 min Fr. Saji concluded his session.
At 11:00, Mr. Ebin Navis Began his session with his 3 activities which made the student to feel comfortable to mingle with the new friends and he divided the group along with the activity. Every group was asked to name their group as well as he asked to elect a group President, Secretary, Vice President. He gave 3 different roles to the leaders of the group.
Mr. Ebin Navis prepared a topics for all the group and kept the sheets outside the hall. He asked all the group leaders to go and find the sheets and come back to their groups. Once the group received the topics he started to explain the methodology SEE-JUDGE-ACT. All the group secretaries were asked to present their group reports in the end of the program.
In the (SEE) awareness part Mr. Ebin asked the students to discuss their topics based on this questions why? How? When? Where? What happened? Since all the 21 group got different topics Mr. Ebin Navis and all the animators were guiding the students for the whole day.
After 30 min, students were asked to think and share their views in, what are the bad values they found in their given topic &If they were there in that situation what would have been their action. Students were highly interactive during this part of the session which became as (JUDGE) reflection part.
After 30 min, Students were guided by their animators to frame their personal decision for their self-transformation and also they shared about what will we do as a cell to bring about a change their environment / society. Students actively framed small action plan which they can plan follow in their daily life.
At 01:00pm Students were requested to have lunch. They enjoyed their lunch and started to prepare for their cultural program.
At 02:15, Students were ready for the cultural program. Each school got a slot number for the cultural performance & Still Image competition. The MC invited Mr. Ebin Navis and Fr. Jerald Sagar as the Judges of the Cultural events. Each school participated in the Dance and Still Image competition.
At 03:45, concluding program began with the action songs by Mr. Ebin Navis. Followed by the Fr. Clevan (Diocesan Chaplain) thanked Mr. Ebin Navis and Fr. Jerald Sagar for judging in competition. Finally the most waited results of the competition were announced. There were both Happy and Sad faces inside the Program Hall.
Mr. Ebin Navis explained the activities of the National Office and upcoming programs which is going to help in National Level and requested students to participate in it. He also thanked and Conway the Greeting of Fr. Chetan (National Chaplin). He also thanked Fr. Clevan for giving a chance for national office to visit the schools in his dioceses.
Finally the Diocesan Convention Concluded with YSM Clap along with the love Clap. Students were provided Tea & snacks after the convention.
Evaluation Meeting was their among the Diocesan team where they share the learning and other things in the Gathering.
