A total number of Fifty-two students, representing twenty -one states, came together at St.Edmund School, Shillong to elect the DEXCO President, Secretary and Treasurer for YCS/YSM Shillong Archdiocese.  At the same time the plan for the preparation of the commitment day was finalized which is to be held on 19th April,2018.

The meeting began with the celebration of the holy Eucharist by Fr Jaino CMI. Later Mr Edward Thama the former NEXCO member of YCS/YSM along with Jimmy the former President of YCS/YSM India  and Hakka Cogmai the present REXCO President familiarized the students with the structure and functioning of YCS/YSM. They explained the importance of having a good structure to carry out the functions of YCS/YSM smoothly. In addition to this we had the student representatives elect the DEXCO president , Secretary and Treasurer for a period of one year. Ms. Anne Romania was elected as the president,  Mr. Rivan was elected as the secretary and Mr. Donavan was elected as the Treasurer, the elected members are thus expected to take the oath on the Commitment Day.
