Bhopal May 19, 2014; Day – 2

YCS/YSM National Convention started at 6.45am with Holy Mass celebrated by Fr. Marie Joseph RYD of Karnataka Region. At 7.30am interreligious prayer meeting was conducted by YCS/YSM students.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


At 9am two sessions were organised. One for animators; which was led by Fr. Varghese Alengaden, USM Indore and for students Mr. Raymond D’Souza, from Mumbai. He spoke on ‘my role in conscientizing the society’.

At 11 am His Excellency Shri Ram Naresh Yadav, Honarabale Governor of MP officially inaugurated the YCS/YSM Convention and addressed the delegates those who gathered from YCS/YSM Regions of India. In his speech he encouraged and appreciated the YCS/YSM movement and its contribution in nation building.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


After the lunch at 2pm Group dynamics and Knowing each other was conducted by Jovita D’Souza from Karnataka  and Leo Joseph from Tamilnadu. At 3pm Mr Syed Akram (YSMer from 1979 batch) from Bellary, Karnataka took a session for students on ‘God inspires me and works within me’. For animators ‘I am an instrument of change agent’ by Fr. Bala from Indore took the session.  At 5pm Panel session on ‘We are a Universal Family, My Response to the other’ was moderated by Fr. Varghese Alengaden. Panellists were Leo Joseph, Deepak Raj and Jovita. At 7.15 pm Interreligious prayer service was organised.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

After supper at 8pm Cultural program was presented by North East, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Northern and Orissa.
