A training on YCS for the Junior Clergy of Mangalore Diocese was held on 22 and 23 of August 2016 at Pastoral Centre, Bajjody, Mangalore, Karnataka. The Bishop Most Rev Dr Aloysius Paul D'Souza wished well. Fr. Rupesh Madtha the Diocesan Director organized the training. Mr. Norbert Misquith, Mr. Francis D'Cunha, Mr. Arun D' Souza, Mr. Richard Alvares, Rev. Vincent Monteiro, Rev. Ronald D'Souza, Mr. Roshan Lobo were the resource persons on different topics about 'YCS Today and Tomorrow in the Diocese of Mangalore.'
There was also a panel discussion were a parish priest, two parents for and not for YCS, the students, two animators from urban and rural set up etc shared their experiences and views on YCS. A SWOT Analysis was conducted for the better Action Plan. The Diocesan President Miss Lavita Rolita D'Souza and the members of the DEXCO were present.
