June 30, 2015 : The YSM animators and the office bearers training programme was held at Sugyana pastoral center on 26 and 27 June 2015 at Gulbarga. 16 animators and 51 students participated in the programme.

The programme began on July 26, at 7.00pm with the interreligious prayer service. Fr. Victor Vas the ICYM, YCS/YSM director of Gulbarga Diocese conducted the prayer service for 30 minutes. For the inaugural function Fr. Pawan (OCD) the secretary for Bishop was the chief guest. Fr. Mari Joseph, ICYM, YCS/YSM Regional Secretary, Fr. Victor Vas DYD, Sr. Vanditha DLYA, student representative Prafull and Miss. Supritha were present on the stage. Fr. Pawan in his inaugural speech told the students that there are so many opportunities to become good leaders and we need to grab them without delay. He said time is very precious and we need to use it in order to come up in our lives.

Fr. Mari Joseph The Regional ICYM, YCS/YSM Secretary was the resource person for the programme. He taught them what is YCS/YSM and how it functions in the diocesan level, regional, national and international. By dividing the whole group he conducted cell meeting and asked them to discuss on a given theme according to the methodology of YCS/YSM. Later he clarified the doubts which were raised by the animators and the students. Fr. Victor spoke about the Rule of YSM that they need to follow in their lives.

Bishop Most Rev. Robert Michael Miranda called children to follow the objective “Change oneself-Change others” and live a value based life.
At the end we conducted the election to elect the new diocesan executive team. These are the members who are elected:

    Gulbarga: Mr. Santhosh : St. Mary’s Kotnoor

After the election the director congratulated the elected members and asked them to strengthen the YSM in their respective schools. At the end he thanked all those who worked for the success of the Leadership Training programme.
