YSM Udupi Diocese organized “SAMSKRATOTSAVA” – A cultural Fest on 14 January 2015 at Kunjarugiri Temple Premises. As students arrived the venue they were served with breakfast. Program started with Inter-religious prayer. Students belonging to Hindu, Muslim and Christian Community read their Holy Scriptures and at last Universal Prayer was said.

Rev. Fr. Denis D’Sa, PRO of Udupi Diocese Presided over the Inaugural Function. Mr. Rajendra Rao was the chief guest. Jaison D'Souza presented a Bird eye view on the past programs of YSM in the year 2014. In his presidential address Fr. Denis D’Sa spoke about ‘Being cultured’. He sang a song in Kannada about Culture which was most liked by all the students, teachers and audience. He also appreciated the inter-religious prayer and said such prayers will enhance respect towards each other’s religion and will build brotherhood among the students. Mr. Richard D’Souza, known as Recharge-Richi, a famous Comedian was the resource person of the day. He spoke about different cultures amongst and around us in a special way, which all the people enjoyed. Then all the students performed their programs. Mr. Stany and Ms. Mishel were the Judges.

Concluding ceremony was presided over by Rev. Fr. Henry Mascarenhas, Estate Manager of Udupi Diocese. In his presidential note he said “Students should have these 4 Ds in their life. Dream, Discipline, Determination and Divine intervention”.

Ms. Mishel said that she is working as a professional trainer in Dubai and all these skills she built in her during her YCS/YSM days. She also said that she is proud that she is a member of YCS/YSM family.
