NATIONAL STUDENT LEADERSHIP TRAINING PROGRAM
Date: 17 – 21 December 2017
Venue: Inspiration Joypur Kharghuli, Guwahati, Assam.
Day 1 : 17-Dec-2017
We have started our preparatory meeting by morning 09:00 a.m with the National EXCO’s and with the regional REXCO’s of North East Region. We went through the agenda step by step and had a constructive planning. We divided the responsibilities among the NEXCO’s and REXCO’s. The time table was rescheduled as some dioceses could not reach on the time.
After lunch at 1:30 registration started and rooms were provided to students. Followed by the registration, Ice breaking were conducted by the NEXCO’s which made the students feel like home. Tea break was given to the students, and the preparation for the Inaugural was going on.
By 4:30 inaugural function was started, in which we welcomed the chief guest Fr. G. P. Amal Raj Deputy Secretary of North East Region, Fr. Chetan Machado National Chaplin YCS/YSM India, all the RYDs, DYDs, Animators, Former NEXCOs, and the YCS/YSMers. Which was followed by the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest Fr. Amal Raj, National Chaplin, Fr. Chetan Machado, Sr. Bernadeth RYD of North East Region and two student representatives. Soon after that Fr. Amal Raj addressed the students. Followed by a formal welcoming speech given by the regional president of North East Region, Ms. Hakadahun. After the welcoming, felicitation took place. The Chief Guest, National Chaplain, DYD’s, RYD’s, DYLA’s, Animators, former NEXCOs and present NEXCOs were facilitated by the regional president and treasurer. At 6:30 Holy Mass was conducted in which Fr. Vijay Baretto was the main celebrant. After the mass animation were conducted by the former NEXCOs.
After which Fr. Chetan Machado National Chaplain of YCS/YSM India took session 1 on the history, aim, objectives and motto of YCS. Soon after the session Sr. Bernadeth gave some instructions regarding the exposure visit and then the students departed for supper. At 8:30 we started with some action songs conducted by the NEXCOs. Mr. Melwyn Titus gave instructions which was followed by the PPT documentation on day 1. Ms Justin concluded the day with the prayer.
The NEXCO and the REXCO teams had an evaluation about the day and prepared for the Next day.
