Review of Life for YCS Shillong :
9 Oct 2014: The day began with mass celebrated by Fr. Jameris Shylla, Youth Director of Shillong Archdiocese. He encouraged the students to develop the Stephen Covey's 7 habits of highly effective people.

- Habit 3: PUT FIRST THINGS FIRST
- Habit 4: THINK WIN-WIN
- Habit 5: SEEK FIRST TO UNDERSTAND, THEN TO BE UNDERSTOOD
- Habit 6: SYNERGIZE
- Habit 7: SHARPEN THE SAW
Total of 51 YCS office bearers and animators from 7 schools gathered at Don Bosco School, Shillong for a day orientation. Sr Agnes Sanihe MSMHC, YCS/YSM North East Regional Coordinator introduced YCS/YSM movement history and structure followed by session on ‘YCS Spirituality: See-Judge-Act’ by Manoj Mathew, member of International YCS Advisory Board.
Manoj emphasized that YCS Spirituality as an integral spirituality of reflection and action, which YCS members call the “Review of Life”, is a process with a continual focus on reality, the gospel, and action. It is in taking each of these focuses seriously in an ongoing process of deepening our understanding of real life experience, of discerning reflection on the Gospel, and of reflective action aimed at transforming our reality that we believe we are most profoundly able to encounter God, discover the Truth, and thereby become God’s instruments in enabling the Reign of God to come. He called on the members and animators to develop a deeper understanding of using the methodology of ‘See-Judge-Act’ in the daily life and addressing issues in their life, family, school, society, church and the world. He encouraged YCS members to take small actions to make a difference.
YCS movement in Shillong is traditionally coordinated by a team of brothers of Sacred Heart Theological College, Shillong since its introduction. Br Viraj Chamara, student from the Salesians of Don Bosco, Sri Lanka from the college is currently in-charge of the YCS ministry.
