New Delhi, June 16:
The 14th IYCS World Council unveils at New Delhi today June 16th 2011. 120 YCS delegates from all over the world are participating in 10 days IYCS Global Formataion Session and 14TH World Council. The theme is “Crisis and Conflicts in the World students Offering Hope”

At 9 AM Session began with the Holy Eucharist offered at Sacred Heart Cathedral, New Delhi by His grace Most Rev. Vincent Concessso, Arch Bishop of Delhi. His grace Most Rev. Leo Cornelio - Chairman CBCI Youth Commission, Most Rev. Hypolite Adigwie - Bishop from Nigeria, Rev. Fr. Paul Tiga zangre - IYCS International Chaplain, Rev. Fr. James Molekunnel Chacho - YCS Asian Chaplain, Rev. Fr. Charles Menzes - National Chaplain YCS/YSM India, Rev. Fr. ALwyn M. J. D’souza - Secretary, CBCI Youth Office, India were main dignitaries among twenty other concelebrants.


Arch bishop in His homily stressed the theme of the session “Crisis and Conflicts in the World” he listed various crisis that are taking place in the world. He connected it to the Lord’s prayer. We have a merciful Father, loving and forgiving father. We have to fight against the all types evils that are coming on the way. We have to be the creators of hope like Jesus, keeping in mind the values of the Gospel.

End the Eucharist Rev.Fr. Paul Tiga read the message form the Holy Father.

In commemoration of 14th World Council Arch Bishop Vincent Concesso, Planted the plant in the cathedral premises with the dignitaries and delegates.

At 4 PM Official Inauguration took place at the Venue St. Michael’s High School, Karol Bhag New Delhi, His grace Most Rev. Vincent Concessso, Arch Bishop of Delhi, wa the president and Honorable deputy Speaker of Lok Sabha Mr. Francis Sardhinha was the chief guest of the inaugural session. other guests were His grace Most Rev. Leo Cornelio - Chairman CBCI Youth Commission, Most Rev. Hypolite Adigwie - Bishop from Nigeria, Rev. Fr. Paul Tiga zangre - IYCS International Chaplain, Rev. Fr. James Molekunnel Chacho - YCS Asian Chaplain, Rev. Fr. Charles Menzes - National Chaplain YCS/YSM India, Rev. Fr. ALwyn M. J. D’souza - Secretary, CBCI Youth Office, Mr. Eduardo Koutsava, IYCS general secretary, Ms. Locille Alcala, IYCS Program coordinator.

After the lighting of the lamp, Mr. Joyce John YCS/YSM Indian President welcomed the dignitaries. His grace Most Rev. Leo Cornelio - Chairman CBCI Youth Commission welcomed the dignitaries and delegates for this great event to India. 

In his message Honorable Francisco Sardino stressed youth should be careful enough to choose what is right. Corruption is every field of the society. It’s our duty to fight it out. He stressed we have to live values of Jesus. Our relation should be based on love. Defeat the evil with your goodness.

Mr. Eduardo Koutsava, IYCS general secretary, explained the importance of the council. In his presidential address Arch Bishop Vincent Concesso stressed See- judge – Act methodology is very apt for today. Recognizing one’s brother is the need of the hour. Let us bring equality in the world. Let us begin with hope and hope never fails.
