Water, water every where
And all the boards did shrink,
Water, water, everywhere,
Nor any drop to drink.

The rhyme of the Ancient Mariner summarizes the plight of many Indians who have not a drop of water to drink while we have enough to quench our thirst. Yes, many villages of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and many more are facing a drought. The wells have dried up. People are unable to plough their fields. Children suffer because of inadequate water.

Friends, we have never seemed to be without water. Indeed, how lucky we are! How do you use water at home? Splash it all around and waste it? The next time we go to the taps and other sources of water lets remember our brothers and sisters who have to do without a drop of water; Yes, friends! Save the water before we too run short of it.
