People have decided for themselves that they can be happy only if they get what they desire or can do all things they wish. This seems to be a universal behavior pattern starting from our very childhood.

One basic element of happiness is the attitude of the mind. The attitude that one needs to possess is “No thing or person outside of me has the power to make me happy or unhappy”. The moment we rely on anything outside of us for our happiness, we become mere slaves to them. Attitude, like habit, is something that we cultivate through repetition. By repeating and reminding the self of the kind of the attitude it should possess, the attitude becomes part of the self.

Second element of happiness is “the will to succeed”. All of us begin our life with certain dreams, visions and aspirations. They are necessary because they give incentives for the will to succeed. Unless we have the will to succeed, we may hope for great things to happen in life, but do nothing for their realization, visions and dreams along with the will to succeed can lead us to great realization. Great achievements in life give us fulfillment & happiness.
