MEANING Of LIFE

What is life? It is God’s gift to us and what we do with that life is our gift to God. Many great people and scientists have spent years together to discover and invent many things. But what is the greatest discovery for a man? It is nothing else but to discover himself. “The most important thing in life”, said Anon, “is to love someone”. The second most important thing in life is to have someone loving you. The third most important thing in life is to have the first two things happening at the same time. Life becomes meaningless without happiness and love.

In today’s world we live a routine and monotonous life. Life is not just to make money and live for ourself. But it is also to live for others. When we turn the pages of history, we can see great people like Gandhiji, who lived and died for the Indian freedom. Nelson Mandela who spend half of his life in prison for the rights of the Africans, Mother Teresa who spent her whole life in the service to the poor. We cannot be great people life them but we can live a good life. Even a small thing which you do to make others happy will make you more happy. A warm pat, a friendly handshake, a little smile, a simple appreciation and many other little things that you do to others will create a sea of difference in you interpersonal relationships.

Happiness doesn’t mean just to have fun and enjoyment. The real happiness lies in making others happy. For every 10 minutes you are angry, you lose 600 seconds of happiness. Do you want to be winners? or losers? Think it over. The purpose of our life is to live for others. So live for others and your life will have a meaning!
