DREAMS IN DARK

It was a small room where ten-twenty children rolled on the floor all through the night. Suddenly, one head peeped out and screamed with a gush of happiness. It was little Sabrina, who was just 12 years old. All the other children woke up and enquired Sabrina, about why she screamed. Sabrina called all her companions, made them all to sit around her. She started to describe her dream.

“The huge city was buzzing with its morning activities, everyone was rushing with their own works. In one of the popular schools in the city, the annual day function was going on. They were announcing the school toppers of the academic year. When they announced the prize for the seventh standard it was me who won the prize. As I heard my name, “Sabrina” called out a, I screamed with a gush of happiness”. Sabrina’s speech was intervened by a nasty bang at the door. It was Mr. Gupher who was the owner of a huge tobacco farm. Sabrina and her companions were labourers of his farm. When the door was opened he shouted at the girls and instructed them to sleep. He shut the door and went away hastily.  Sabrina’s dream sank into darkness. All these twenty children are only able to dream but they are not able to make their dreams come true. As the members of YCS/YSM, let us work for the betterment of lives of these bonded child labourers.
