  1. BE THERE: Your presence matters than you may realize.Youngsters want to see you among them. Your presence can prevent many mistakes which are fruits of thoughtlessness rather than malice.
  2. TAKE THE INITIATIVE: Wish them, talk to them, smile at them. Don’t wait for them to wish you and talk to you.
  3. TALK OF THINGS THEY ARE INTERESTED IN: Their interests come first not yours, even if these interests seem strange to you.
  4. BE FAMILIAR, NOT ALOOF: Familiarity breeds confidence, and there in no Education without confidence.
  5. DON’T IMITATE YOUTH: Don’t try to act like them in language, dress or behavior.
  6. BE REASONABLE: Give reasons for your requests and decisions. Your aim is to develop convictions, not blind obedience.
  7. CONSULT THE YOUNG: Give a hearing to their requests and suggestions.
  8. CORRECT, BUT DON’T HUMILIATE: Correct them gently, yet firmly, when they do wrong. But don’t humiliate them in public.
  9. DON’T BE CRUEL: Never makes fun of someone’s physical defects of background of lack of talents.
  10. DON’T BEAT: As for as possible, avoid physical punishments.
  11. BE HONEST: Admit your mistakes and accept suggestions and criticisms. Youngsters will esteem you if you do.
  12. CULTIVATE VARIETY: Don’t repeat the same way of doing things, whether it is in prayer services or meetings or talks.
  13. HELP THEM TO REFLECT: Don’t simply tell them what to do. Ask them to hive their views and suggestions.
  14. PRAISE THEM: When they do something well, however small the achievement may appear to you.
  15. BE IMPARTIAL: No favorites please no gifts to special friends, no attention to one or the other of to a few.
  16. SEE THE ADULT IN THE CHILD: See what this youngster can become, with your help. He may look raw, immature, and hard to be understood. But we need to ask themselves; what can he/she become? What is he/she capable of?
  17. BE PREPARED: On the problems and questions that concern most youngsters.
  18. ENCOURAGE AND DEMAND: Encourage them in what they can do well, point out what they are good at and demand that they give of their best. If you don’t help them to excel, you are helping to destroy them.
  19. MAKE THEM RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR FORMATION: As they grow up, more and more initiative and decisions should be left to them.
  20. GIVE THEM CHANCES TO SERVE: Young people are energetic and generous. They need chances to help, to serve to sacrifice themselves for a cause.

The young need not only be loved, but they need to see that they are loved

  5. Analytical: Observant and takes notes of facts. Seeks to find deeper realities behind the subsidiary.

  7. Co-operative: Lends a helping hand to people when they are in need. No unwanted services offered.
  8. Good term worker: Approachable. Reassures people. People feel at home with him. respective
  9. Strongly integrated in Community: Skilled in relationships. Knows the people closely.
  10. Natural Leader: Good communicator. Gets people involved in what he is saying. Encourages them respond, even differ. Involves members in all activities at all levels. Maintains enthusiasm, appreciates their efforts. Spontaneous.
  11. High Endurance: Not easily discouraged, does not compromise or give in easily. Keeps struggling.
  12. Self acknowledged deviant: Questions structures and system, not satisfied with traditional answers. Searches for viable alternatives.
  13. Creative: Resourceful and innovative does not let the discussion flag, Finds new ideas for entertainment.
  14. Non- dogmatic : Resourceful and suggestive, but does not impose his own ideas  and beliefs. Does not argue all the time about what his point is. Listens to what others have to say.
